The Polish goal machine, who plays for Barcelona and also captains Poland’s national squad, found the back of the net in the 49th, 82nd and 93rd minutes of the game.

Lewandowski has scored 16 goals in the Spanish top tier this season and is in fourth place, tied with Osasuna's Ante Budimir, among the division’s top scorers with five games to go.

Girona's Artem Dowbyk leads the table with 19 strikes in the campaign so far.

Last year, the Polish marksman won the Spanish premier league's Pichichi top scorer award after ending his first La Liga season on 23 goals, four more than runner-up Karim Benzema of Real Madrid.

Lewandowski has previously won seven top scorer awards in the German Bundesliga, where he played for Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.

In October 2022, the Pole won the Gerd Müller Trophy for the best striker of the 2021/2022 season at the France Football Ballon d'Or Awards in Paris.
